Library Pumpkin Decorating Contest The Library is hosting a Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest that begins on Monday, October 13, 2025 and lasts through Thursday, October 31, 2025. Decorate a pumpkin (or gourd) as a book character or with a literary theme and drop it off with Mrs. Hall or Mrs. Eutsler at the Axtell Community School Library for display from October 13 – October 31. The library cannot accept carved or punctured pumpkin submissions. Only painted and/or decorated whole pumpkin submissions may be entered into the contest. All contest submissions must be accompanied by an entry form. One winner will be chosen from each of the following age categories: elementary (K-4), middle school (grades 5-8), & high school/adult (grades 9-12 and staff). Contest submission must be turned into library staff by Friday, October 25, 2025 at 4 pm. Late pumpkin submissions will not be accepted. Forms are available in Mr. Nelson's Room, The Library, Mrs. Nickel's Room and the Office.
